Candy Diaries: Love at First Site

Well I'm still a little uneasy about starting relationships online for some reason. Maybe it's more so when you're just looking for a relationship rather than just joining a social site to meet friends and other things develop on their own. I'm online quite a bit and know that sometimes things just happen. I did start a relationship with someone I met online before. It wasn't as great a situation as yours. We had fun but things didn't work out in the end. I'm all boo'd up now, but I don't think I'd be 100% opposed to trying someone out off the internet again. :-)

I do believe in love at first sight...but love can come and go as with everything else. I don't see anything wrong w/online dating/hooking up as long as both parties are aware of the issues associated w/this type of dating environment. I take issue with someone who gets married, etc...from striclty knowing the person online because you really don't know this person. However, if you meet online but since then you've managed to meet be/spend time w/each other I look at it as a typical relationship...you grow to learn/know the person you are with.

Yes, I do. I 'met' whom I believe is mine...the funny thing is that it's been almost 2 years and we haven't met. I'm not even ashamed to say that, because life happens and things don't work out. Don't know at this point if we'll be together or not...but even if we don't...I KNOW I'd love to remain his friend.

Like you said, you can meet crazy in your face. Only thing I'd encourage is some sort of webcam or instant photo sharing. If someone tries to stave you off for too long about revealing themselves...you may have a problem. lol
